The Saboteur

It seems to work fine with the xbox360 joypad emulator, but the game it self wont run on my setup, like for so many others, hopefully EA will have a patch out for it asap...

Download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/318950698/x360ce_vibmod_3.1.4.0.rar

And copy the files :

x360ce.ini
xinput1_3.dll
XInputTest.exe

Into the directory

\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Saboteur\

(x360ce.ini in the pack is moded to work with a logitech rumblepad 2, check the Index=0 (controller index in system game controllers list)).

DiRT 2

I easily installed the rumblepad 2 emulation for this game, and got going at it.

Put the following files into :

\Program Files\Codemasters\DiRT2

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

if you havent got em, you may download from :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

It's a fairly great game, and anyone who enjoy the rally type of games, including FUEL, may very well enjoy this title as well. I found the car controlls a bit difficult to handle, but that is something you may get used to after a while.

Enjoy!

Lego Indiana Jones 2

This is one of those games you can enjoy old or young. The lego series like batman, star wars, and indiana jones... I'm just waiting for the spongebob version... :) These games always work strain out of the box with rumble pad 2.

If this is the type of game you enjoy it will give you 100% worth of money and value.

Do enjoy, I just love this.

November/December Highlights

To be expected in the following two months :

Left 4 Dead 2
Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues
James Cameron's Avatar: The Game
Rogue Warrior
Strike Force Red Cell
The Saboteur

Hopefully with good joypad support, and decent video tuning for those not geared with the latest and best in hardware... :)

Dragon Age: Origins

There is no joypad support for this game, and the only way to get it, is if you try and map it is with xpadder.

If anyone done a good config, please post the link for it.

Please developers out there, JOYPAD support for the games, please. Let the end consumer choose if they want to play mouse/keybord or with a pad.

Star Wars - Force Unleashed Sith Edition

This could have been a great game, but it falls short due to bad framerate, and no way to adjust video settings, pad support can be added by puting the files into this folder:

Program Files\Aspyr\Star Wars The Force Unleashed\

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

Please make sure you test this on something equal to your system before you even think of buying it. If you are not geared up beyond your teeths with hardware, you will not last long. I really enjoyed this on the consoles, and feel bad for this poor port.

I only give this 3/10, for the very poor console port.

Borderlands

This is an top of the line game, not to be missed by anyone, and to add some extra spice to the game play, put the emulation files into the following dir :

Program Files\2K Games\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\Binaries

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

Easily one of the more enjoyable games this year... So don't miss the adventure...

Saw

This works great with the xbox 360 joypad emulation, just put the files in :

Program Files\SAW\Binaries

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

I just love this kind of game, but got stuck in it, so if anyone finds a good walkthru let me know.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

The game supports the logitech rumblepad2 out of the box, and it's an amazing game, anther reason for keeping a stack of pads around the house, plug em in and get your friends over for a soccer fiesta.

I dumped the poorly fifa 10 for this amazing game...

Dreamkiller

Also released this week was Dreamkiller, It as well available only for the xbox 360, so I got some doubts on the quality of the game, and if I should check it out or not. It also got quite a low score on popularity already.

More to follow...

NBA 2K10

Another release also out this week is NBA 2K10, the #1 rates and selling NBA game out there, works out of the box for the rumblepad 2 and dual action logitech game pads.

It's quite a good game as well, you should enjoy this one if you like basketball.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Lego Star Wars - The Complete Saga, works right out of the box for rumblepad 2 & logitech dual action game pads.

This is one of those great games for two players, it offers all you ever want for a great game, it got the unbeatable story, and you can play through all six Star Wars movies in this mash-up of Lego Star Wars I and II. So enjoy, last week I completed the first Star Wars game of this month. Let's see if I can complete this one before the next is out, the big one we all are waiting for.

This is an easy 10 / 10 for a PC game. It's also released for the other hi-def consoles PS3, XBOX 360.

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes

Finally the game is here that I've been waiting on for the past week. I just completed mini ninjas last weekend, and still got a few games in the queue, but I really want to give this game a go. Republic Heroes is a game based on the Clone Wars TV series and lets you fight as both Jedi Knights and Clone Troopers through more than 30 unique missions.

This will be the first game I'll try the new VIBMOD XINPUT with :

http://rapidshare.com/files/285929956/x360ce_vibmod_3.1.0.4_BETA3.zip

I do hope this game lives up to the great expectations I've got on it. Being from Lucas Arts and all. I'll get back here in a few hours when I get a chance to test it all out.

At the time of testing, I did not have access to the new beta so I grabbed the old version, it works great with the xbox 360 emulation, download and install :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Put the following files under the installed directory as follows :

Program Files\LucasArts\Republic Heroes

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

for this game, don't forget to include :

dinput8.dll

It worked smoothly for me. Though when playing the character movement don't got that great feeling, but that is the games problem, not the controller.

Tropico 3

Tropico 3, does not support rumblepad2 or xbox360 , it's still marketed as a "Games for Windows", to bad, oh well, you can always use the "xpadder" to map the mouse movements to your pad to enjoy this game with a pad.

It's not bad, if you like tropical island dictator management games. I myself is onto my holiday this year to one. :)

Enjoy!

FIFA 10

I did have great expectations on FIFA 10, 1st being a great fan of Electronic Arts sports stuff, 2nd it is 2010, not 2000. With that in mind you would think NextGen is here, and this should not be a poor PS2 port. But EA manages to disapoint big time. The PC version totaly sucks. How come you got these poor standards, today people who game on PC do it with todays hardware, not on their old office machine from the year 2000. Get with the program guys.

It work poorly with a rumblepad 2, meaning the controls are basically crap, and non logic when using the menu system. Once again you should simply follow the xbox360 standards, don't try your own stuff EA Sports.

This is one of the worst games for being such a big title like FIFA 10. It should be up there in the elite league of games with Batman, Resident Evil, Need for Speed.

I'll be lucky if I can pas this one of to somebody as a second hand game for a descent buck, but I would feel bad for the poor fellow, it's not even worth the CD it's printed on.

Upcomming games in October

With an amazing month of fresh releases for the PC in september, we look another great month ahead of us. I hope all developers out there keep them comming, the PC is just getting better and better as a game platform, esp with windows 7 just around the corner.

Upcomming games in October to keep an eye or two on :

NBA 2K10
Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
Dreamkiller
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Borderlands
Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition
CSI: Deadly Intent
Saw

It's gonna be an amazing month in the name of star wars. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on all these games and complete them with in a month with my logitech rumblepad 2. The best controller money could buy. I also got a logitech dual action aswell, they are basically the same controller, just with out the "rumble", and the rumble works with less than 1% of the games out there.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Another release that I will play whenever I get it going. After two minutes of messing around, I gave up on this quite crappy game, It works with the emulation files copied into the game directory, but the game itself is just pure garbage. It's a bit sad on good animation titles, getting this kind of reputation. I like some of these games, like "mosters vs aliens", "bolt" & even "up" was quite nice.

Need for Speed: Shift

Another great game this week. Between Batman, Resident Evil and now Need for speed, I'm in a difficuly choise of what game to complete first. These are all 3 rock solid games that gives you all the value for the money you may wish for.

And thank god that they do work with the logitech controllers.

1. If you haven't you should modify the registry to alter the name of your controller to say "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows".

Then download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Extract and copy the following files into the game directory :

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dllx
input9_1_0.dll

This worked great for me. This is a very good game, an easy 10 out of 10. I've been playing it alot. It's alot more fun than those need for speed street racing games. At least for me.

Resident Evil 5

Finally it's here for the PC, I do hope the controller support is working fine.

Let ya know when I get it tested out. As my controller broke down, before I got a chance to try this one out. Talk about bad luck. Now I gotta wait until I get it replaced. Only a few months old, I'm getting less and less confident in Logitech, same stuff happened to a few of my keyboards as well (newer ones, while the old stuff just keep ticking).

1. If you haven't you should modify the registry to alter the name of your controller to say "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows".

Then download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Extract and copy the following files into the game directory :

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

This is a truly great game, will be playing this one to the end. Currently I'm stuck in batman.

Red Faction: Guerrilla

Another great title, that supports the rumble pad 2 just out of the box.

Great Work!.

And a pretty decent one aswell.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

Mini Ninjas

Another awaited title this week is mini ninjas, as I am a bit fan of the adventure platform type of games, and since it's being delivered by eidos, I got high hopes on this title, let's hope it wont disapoint, will get back with more info as soon I get a chance to test this one out.

I'm sure it will work fine with the xbox 360 emulation.

We'll it sure did disapoint, now way to get the xbox360 joypad emulation to work, and keymapping sux. looks like a good game, but can't play it, I'll return this asap. But before I got a chance to return it, I got this :

1. Find out the name of your gamepad in the control panel (Game Controllers), for me it was "Logitech RumblePad 2 USB".
2. Open Regedit, hit CTRL-F and type the name of your gamepad. It should find something like :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_046D&PID_C218
OEMName REG_SZ Logitech RumblePad 2 USB

3. Select Modify and enter "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows" (without the ").

4. Download and Install the files :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Program Files\Eidos\Mini Ninjas

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

5. The game should work now.

Darkest of Days

Despite that I previous decided to overlook this game, the pure lack of good games for the past months and that it was also released for the xbox 360 made me to give it a go.

I'm now off to give this game a try, and hope it will be worth the installation time...

No matter what I did to get the joypad working, it just would not work in game.

My first emotion to stay away from this game was right, it is horrible. My advice is to all to stay away from it. I've not seem anything worse than this for a long time. My rule usually is right that it's not released for the PS3, don't bother with getting the PC game. All good titles that are worth your time is released on all the 3 major platforms.

Section 8

Another great title being released this week, I hope it will work just as smooth as batman did with the xbox 360 emulation. I do hope this title wont disapoint when I get to check it out later today, I'll inform you on how if possible to use your rumblepad2.

But after a weekend of batman, I'm sure many games will look pale.

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Put the following files under the installed directory as follows :

Program Files\SouthPeak Games\Section 8\Binaries

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

for this game, don't forget to include :

dinput8.dll

I'll give this game a few hours to see how well it perform story wise. I was expecting more, it's not a top game, and I'll recycle it asap. I'm more looking forward to resident evil 5. This game is not worth spending time on. It's actually quite short (Story part), and the multiplayer stuff does not attract me. It's not to bad, but it's not worth getting into again after completing the story once.

Released : September 06.

Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger

This is a not to good, but not to bad game, some like it some don't, whats good for us is that it fully works with the xbox 360 emulation and it works perfectly.

Download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Extract and put the files into :

Program Files/Evolved Games/Raven Squad

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

For me it's not a bad game, I'll give it a shot this weekend, and we'll see how well it will play.

Xpadder - Windows 7

For all you windows 7 users, that want to use xpadder, here is the windows 7 version of the .exe file:

http://rapidshare.com/files/270501316/Xpadder__Seven_.rar

It works perfectly fine. I'm now actually using windows 7 myself, still on the 32 bit version. There is little point yet for going 64bit, esp if you run mostly 32bit applications anyway (which most games are), it'll be a bit slower on the 64bit version, and memory usage just goes up.

New Releases August

Awaiting the following games to be released in August/September.

August :

Aliens in the Attic
Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger

September :

Section 8
Dirt 2
Mini Ninjas
Need for Speed: Shift
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Resident Evil 5
Red Faction: Guerrilla

August have so far been a very dry month. Hopefully September will pick up, and the promised release will actually be released.

Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay

Another release this month worth mention is Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2, as with chapter 1.

A controller is already half-way supported. Why did they not go all the way?

You can use "xpadder" to map your mouse to your controller, suitable for this game is to use the right stick and R1 to click with.

http://rapidshare.com/files/252457014/xpadder.rar

I'll probably be waiting to play this one until the full DVD is released. It sucks to always end half way through a good adventure.

Wolfenstein

After a dry month of no real good game releases for the PC, we're back with a cool game that we all been waiting for, wolfenstein. Playable out of the box with a rumble pad 2, you just need to change the controller.

But to enjoy it fully, you have to install the xbox 360 emulation and it works perfectly.

Download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Extract and put the files into :

Program Files/Activision/Wolfenstein/SP

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

Then start the game, select controller "xbox-360...". And now you see press "A" & "B", etc... instead of just the Press [Enter], [Esc]...

This is quite a nice game, with patch 1.1 you will be able to enjoy the single player mode with save fully working.

I've not yet had a chance to fully evaluate it. I hope there is some way to turn of the blood & gore. :) So far I give it easily an 8.0.

G-Force

G-Force is a fast-paced action-platform game based on the movie of the same name.

This game fully supports the rumblepad 2. Just make sure you select "Use Game Pad".

Main Menu -> Options -> Controls -> Use Game Pad (Tick).

Being developed by eurocom does help to keep the hope up for a great game.

I've been thru the first part of the game, and even if the graphics are a bit simple, but it got great game play, maybe it'll get better later into the game. So far it's a solid 7 out of 10.

Released : 21 July 2009

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Bionic Commando

Bionic Commando features a hero with a grappling hook arm used to navigate levels, to take out enemies, rappel down sheer surfaces, and more.

We'll see if this has native rumblepad support or if the xbox360 emulation will work fine, hopefully it's as good as devil may cry.

Once I managed to install the game, I could not get it working with the joypad emulation, this is a bit sad, as this game really needs to be played with a pad, so I did a config for xpadder, and this will have to do for now. I have just played it a bit, and it seems to be quite an ok game. I'll give it a 7 out of 10 so far, edit (9 out of 10 after doing some more playing and getting further into the game, I would have given it 10 if it had been fully supporting the rumblepad 2). We'll see if that changes once I get a bit more into the game.

To get it working with your rumblepad 2, you need to do the following.

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Program Files/CAPCOM/Bionic Commando/Bionic Commando/

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

Then start the game, goto config controllers. bind the keys to the gamepad.

Then I use xpadder to map mouse, left/right mouse button, arrow keys, escape and enter.

This works fine, you can map all keys, except "Adrenaline".

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

Never had played this in the past, and just having completed the first chapter of the newer "Tales of Monkey Island", I must say, even if the graphics looks ok on my HD (1360 x 768). It's still not what games today are supposed to look like, I would love a good remake, but hey, make it 100% 3D, just like "Tales of Monkey Island". If it's such a good story, it needs to be told by todays standards, not yesterdays. Todays games wont spend time on these type of try to make more money on a old game without giving it a complete makeover. Give us some value for the money, any old game that got a great story can be re-made up to todays standards, and sell great. Remember there is a new audience out there who are used to a certain way that games looks today. They will be very dissapointed when they see this, hell even I was, and I used to be amazed by these type of adventures. I'll give it 3 out of 10.

I would love to see and play it when they get it redone with todays standards.

Guitar Hero World Tour

I was trying to get the xbox 360 controller emulation to work for this game, but it just would not. but xpadder would do the trick for you, just do the mapping of the keys to what you want it to be on your joypad.

I'm not much of a fan of these games, but I thought I would try it out for a few moments to see what songs they got on. But I guess pretty soon it'll get boring. I'll rate this game 5 of 10.

Friday, July 10, 2009

Tales of Monkey Island – Launch of the Screaming Narwhal

I've always wanted to play this story, but never had a chance in the past, now I'll get another shot at it.

A controller is already half-way supported. Why did they not go all the way?

You can use "xpadder" to map your mouse to your controller, suitable for this game is to use the right stick and R1 to click with.

http://rapidshare.com/files/252457014/xpadder.rar

The game itself is fairly ok for this sort of game, the story is good, it's not to difficult to figure out what to do, so far I did not get completely stuck that I had to look for a solution in the walkthrough.

If you get stuck in the game check out :

http://zagraceni.pl/tales-of-monkey-island-walkthrough-launch-of-the-screaming-narwhal

Xpadder

When I was looking for some program that would make it possible for me in windows to control the mouse with my pad, and maybe even be able to map keys and sequences of keys. I found a really great one, it's called Xpadder, and it's freeware. You can download it from :

http://rapidshare.com/files/252457014/xpadder.rar

It works fine to run in the background all the time, now I don't need a mouse / keyboard anymore for my game computer, I can do all work with the pad. Which is great. I would prefer to see my game computer as just another console hooked up to the TV. And simply just controlling it with a pad makes it work just as I want it.

Now I would like to see a PS3 XMB type style for windows vista. And then I would be all set. :) If anyone knows how to do this let me know.

New Releases July

Awaiting the following games to be released in July/August.

July :

Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal
G-Force
Bionic Commando
Aliens in the Attic

August :

Wolfenstein
This Is Vegas
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Red Faction: Guerrilla

Since a whole lot of good games already released in June, there is just a few titles worth picking up in the following 2 months. Still I've got plenty to play that has not yet been completed. The big title we're all looking forward to is Resident Evil 5. But it seems as it has been delayed.

Then take your character online and prove you're the best with the new online ranking system! New Players / Courts - Play as or against over 20 of the world's top players, including seven new to Virtua Tennis and three legends. All-new arenas and the officially licensed Davis Cup provide the most realistic tennis competition to date. New Player Creation System - You now have full control over facial, body and clothing customization, as well as the depth to populate the game world with hundreds of unknown opponents. More Court Games. Improved Gameplay - Courtside action is better than ever, with extensive updates to the famous arcade-style Virtua Tennis match engine, as well as 3D crowds and a more realistic courtside experience.

I'm not a great game sports fan, except for NHL Hockey and Fifa Soccer, and ofcourse NBA, and I haven't got either yet for my pc, but somehow tennis on a computer have also fashinated me, but I have low hopes of this beeing a good game, so it might surprise me, maybe this is the game that makes me buy a second controller for my pc, to challenge my friends. But I was right, it's just as exciting as tennis ever will be, I give it a 2 out of 10.

It works out of the box with the rumble pad 2, it's a bit anoying that it's not possible to install the emulation files.

Released : 30 June 2009

Street Fighter IV

Everything that made the legendary Street Fighter II a hit acround the world returns in Street Fighter IV. Favorite classic characters, such as Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li return along with new characters, including Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. Characters and environments appear in stylized 3D, while the classic 2D gameplay remains with the addition of new moves such as the revenge-fueled .Ultra Combo. system and Focus Attacks. An all-new Street Fighter is here and the real challenge starts now.

Everything may first seem ok and you think it's no need to use the emulation files, as the game works out of the box with a joypad, but all the buttons are wrong, so if you want it all the way it's suposed to be you need to copy the following into the game directory.

You may download the files from :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Program Files/CAPCOM/STREETFIGHTERIV/

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

And you will notice how the game is suposed to be played. It's a great game for street fighter fans, but not much for the others. Recently there was a release of a few great games, so if your not a street fighter lover, you'll probably pass on this one, but since it adds the live experience with multiplayer, it have something that other versions did not. Might be fun to do some live fighting against real oponents rather than the computer controlled ones. I'll give this a 7 out of 10, for good gameplay and visual graphics, honestly I can not see much difference between default setup, and selecting maxed pc settings, except that for me the framerate drops a bit.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Ice Age works perfect with a rumble pad 2, you just need to copy the following files into the path.

Program Files/Activision/Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs(TM)/
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

As a lover of the previous ps2 games, I expect quite allot from this game as it is the third in the series, hope it will live up to it. So far it looks like it will live up to it, some info from the box. One thing I notice is the audio is a bit bad, but that might be adjustable, I did not tune the audio yet. I'll be on this one for a couple of hours before I get back to overlord II (my current top game).

Join Ice Age's unlikely herd of prehistoric pals for their wildest, wackiest, most exciting adventure yet! For the first time, play as six beloved Ice Age characters as they embark on a rescue mission across melting snow to the mysterious Dinosaur World - an all-new, fur-raising jungle of carnivorous plants, lush foliage and fierce dinosaurs.

Based on the highly anticipated Fox film Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, it's a rollicking ride of mammoth proportions! Revisit the humor, characters and prehistoric environments from the movie - Players relive adventures from the film and beyond with all their favorite characters - earnest but goofy Sid the Sloth, big-hearted Manny the Mammoth, courageous Diego the Saber-toothed Tiger and inadvertent troublemaker Scrat - as they all frozen Ice Age to the lush Dinosaur World.

Experience continuously changing gameplay through more than 15 levels - Every level presents new and exciting challenges as players learn and master each character's abilities in order to defeat enemies, traverse dangerous landscapes, avoid obstacles and escape from perilous situations.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron̢۪s romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince.

This game works with the rumble pad 2 out of the box. Even if it shows you a picture of a xbox 360 controller it will still refer to numbers. Quite a nice game, but I was expecting a bit more from such a big title.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is the prequel to Call of Juarez and will take you through ravaged Civil War-era Georgia to the Aztec ruins of Mexico.

THE OLD WEST, 1864. In order to save their family, the McCall brothers will kill anyone who stands between them and the legendary Gold of Juarez. But when the allure of women and money tests their bond as brothers, will the blood they share prove to be thicker?

You may download the needed files from (Unless you already have them) :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

After Install make sure you copy the following files in to the following directory :

Program Files/Ubisoft/Techland/Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood/

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

I did not have time yet to evaluate the game, but it seems to be good enough to give it a go on saturday. I'm a big "wild west" fan and what can be better than a first person western shooter. I'm personally feed up with any WWII stuff. This will give me a needed break from Overloard II, :) I've been looking forward to this release since I heard about it. I'm actually not a great fan of first person games, I more like the third person perspective, It's just to bad the game don't have that option aswell.

Fuel

FUEL delivers exhilarating, spectacular races, at any time of day in a huge range of vehicles. Experience the dynamic weather system and witness how deadly tornadoes and sandstorms affect the way your race plays out. Negotiate diverse terrain from deep snow to arid riverbeds, battle the elements and pull off stunning stunts as you race and explore an epic world on an unprecedented scale.

After install you need to copy the following in to the directory you installed the game :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

Program Files/Codemasters/FUEL

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

And the game will work fine, it's quite a good game, as a dedicated racing fan I would so far rate this game as a 8 out of 10. It was a bit low frame-rate on my setup in high detail, I'll try and tweak it to a better setup. It's just to bad there is no in-game options to tweak the performance, so it's painful to restart the game each time, just to see how well it does.

Edit: After some playing, I must stay that this one of the better driving overall action games I've seen for a long time, I'm a big fan of it and if you're into driving you cannot pass this one, I would not really understand why anyone would give this game a low overall score. And yes, first time I tried I got a bit low frame-rate, but that was my computer beeing on to long, :) It works fine with default settings at full frame-rate.

Overlord II

Another game that only works with the xbox 360 wired controller, but thanks to this tool you can play it fully with a logitech rumble pad 2.

Download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip

In Directory :

Program Files/Codemasters/Overlord II

First rename
xinput1_3.dll to xinput1_3.dll.old

Then the following into it

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

And it will work perfectly, this is also quite a good game, After a while of playing you realize this is truly a great game, that you just want to keep playing. I've already spent many hours on it, and it just keeps getting better and better.

Released : 24 June 2009

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

This seems to work fine just out of the box, except as with ghostbusters, the camera seems to be sliding down all the time, I've not yet found a solution for this problem. Might be some settings available for the pad, if anyone knows please let me know. [Note: I've found the solution that it is probably a bad connection, unplugging and replugging it in will do the trick, just run the config program for the pad, and check that the two are in the middle when not touching them], hopefully this problem is not to reoccuring.

The game itself so far I'm just past the tutorial and into the first mission (3%), it's not really my kind of game, I was expecting a bit less complex game, more plug and play, less have to figure out the settings and options. it's also a big downer that it wont do my current game setup resolution 1360 x 768. I have to settle with 1280 x 720, which does not look as good on my monitor, the picture becomes quite dark in this mode.

I've never played the first game, but I'm sure it's not much better, at the moment I think only hardcore transformers fans would find this game attractive. I would rate it 5 / 10.

It'll probably be gone quite fast from my HD to make space for something more interesting.

Ghostbusters The Video Game

Works right out of the box with my rumblepad2, I first had some problem with the camera sliding down all the time. But after I copied some files into the directory, it seems to work? It might just have been my controller or not? (Note I found that just unplugging / replugging your rumblepad will solve the problem if the dpads is not synced properly).

Program Files/Atari/Ghostbusters/
dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput9_1_0.dll

This game already has a "xinput1_3.dll" file in the dir, and it wont work to replace it. I would have preferred the game using the xbox emulation, as it will make the key hints in the game better, I rather see press "A", instead of press "2". It beats me why logitech dont get more logical key names, that is easy to relate to, as nobody can remember where key "6" is, while "R1" does makes sense.

The game itself is totally awesome, just my kind of game, some busting just make you feel good. I'm already probably 80% into the game already. I'm now on the "Lost island", and so far it's been easy to figure it out, and fun. (Edit: Now I've completed the game after ~15hours of great game playing. I give this game a full 10/10 points, and it's probably the best game I've played for a long time, since I completed crysis warhead).

In case you need some help, try this guide.

http://www.gamespot.com/features/6212203/p-3.html

This is defenately one of the games you should have a go at. I'll give it easily 10. It got great story, wonderfull gameplay, and nothing beats playing a ghostbuster.

Released : 18 June 2009

Crysis

This is a great game. Put the files in the :

Electronic Arts/Crytek/Crysis/Bin32/

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

And it works fine just like crysis warhead.

Released : 11 November 2007

Prototype

This game fully supports the rumble pad. It's a so so game, looks like entierly built on the spiderman engine.

Left 4 Dead

I could not get this title to work good with a joypad. If anyone had luck getting it to work properly as this type of game should be controlled. Give me some input.

Wheelman

A not to great title, due to that it plays a bit jerky on my PC, it flows nicely but then once in a while the framerate plays a trick on you, just like damnation. And that just makes the game unplayable. It got native rumblepad support which is great.

Prince of Persia

I'm yet to test this game out, it's been stuck on my shelf for a while now.

Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed is a pure pleasure to play, it's one of these really rare gems that just have to be played over and over.

It's fully supporting the logitech rumblepad 2.

Don't miss this game.

Silent Hill Homecoming

Another great game in the silent hill series, I've so far not been able to play this. But it do look good, and I've enjoyed the others.

Place the files in :

Program Files/Silent.Hill.Homecoming/Bin

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV is a kickass game, a bit disapointing that the game wont run smoothly on a HD 4670, I know it's not the best of graphics today. But todays games should atleast have the settings to make it run smooth. Anyway it's still playable at a lower framerate.

Place the files in :

Program Files/Rockstar Games/Grand Theft Auto IV

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

And it will work great. I've seen that the latest patch would actually support the logitech rumblepad 2, but I've not have had the time to try it yet.

LEGO Indiana Jones

LEGO Indiana Jones works just fine with the controller. It's also a great game for all LEGO gaming fans.

Crysis WARHEAD

Wow, this is the first game, I've played all to the end with my logitech rumblepad 2. And it was a great pleasure. It runs really well on my HD4670, with some settings tweaked.

Place the files in :

Program Files/Electronic Arts/Crytek/Crysis WARHEAD/Bin32

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll

One of the best games I've played this year. I'm going for a second run.

Released : 17 September 2008

Devil May Cry 4

This is a tricky one, and you may think it's fine using the controller to play the game without any emulation, but it's not. It wont give you the very smooth movement unless you use the emulation. Basically any game that you have to switch mode on the controller to get it to work, will not provide a good game play.

Place the files in :

Program Files/CAPCOM/DEVILMAYCRY4

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll

The game itself is outstanding, I'm going to pick up Devil May Cry 3 as well, just because this game is such amazing. I've only completed the first edition on the PS2. This is one of those games you simply cant miss.

LEGO Batman

LEGO Batman works out of the box. This is also one of this great older games, I've already completed this on the PS2 a few times, but wanted to experience this on a HD (1360x768) with enhanced graphics RADEON HD 4670.

Great Game, well worth the few $ it costed for the PC.

UP

UP is quite a nice game, but nothing that will last.

To get the emulation working copy the following :

Program Files/THQ/Disney_Pixar/UP

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

This game will pretty soon be resold. It's from what I've seen so far, not worth much.
