Binary Domain

For you to get Binary Domain working with your Logitech Rumblepad2 or Dual Action Gamepad, you will have to do the following...

Run as Administrator :

\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Binary Domain\BinaryDomainConfiguration.exe

Set The Input Device in the Configuration

The do the following :

Download :

xbox360cemu.v.3.0.rar

Extract the files :

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

Place these filed into :

\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Binary Domain\

If you cannot locate the directory, try to search for the file :

BinaryDomain.exe

And place the files in the same folder.

Finaly the game I've been waiting for has arrived, so I'll be enjoying this and hopefully complete it before Diablo III arrives.

Alpha Protocol

To get Alpha Protocol work with your rumblepad 2 gamepad, or the dual action gamepad. Simply make sure you do the following, then make sure you enable Xbox 360 Controller in the settings of the game...

Download the file :

http://rapidshare.com/files/249171338/xbox360emulator-v1.0.rar

extract the content and copy the files :

dinput8.dll
xinput1_3.dll
XInputTest.exe

Into the installed directory like :

\Program Files\SEGA\Alpha Protocol\Binaries

Now I'm off to see if the game is really as bad as everyone keeps telling me... After playing a while it doesn't seem so bad... But I do sometime have some kind of frame rate problem. The graphic settings seems not to have anything to do with this. maybe it's a CPU thing? Any clues? Seems like my CPU running at 100%. Never seen this in a game before, :) maybe time to upgrade.

Anyone complaining on the PC version having bad controls, must not be using a logitech rumblepad 2 or xbox 360 controller, to play it. So far the game looks great, and feels good to play. Apart from running at 100% of my CPU causing some stutter, the game is great fun...

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Another cool racing game from SEGA featuring Sonic and the gang, this will be popular with the kids, and it's possible to play split screen up to 3 players, considering you got the pads.

It's easy enough to get working with the x360ce_vibmod_3.1.4.0, you can find the download link on this blog.

Copy the files into the directory :

Program Files\SEGA\Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing\

x360ce.ini
xinput1_3.dll

you can modify the x360ce.ini to make all you controllers work.

Oh yeah, now I'm off to play it in split screen. Don't forget to set the resolution / graphics levels using the config.exe file, there is no in game settings for those.

Aliens vs Predator

Another great game with partially working Logitech rumble pad / dual action pad support. I had some problems, with the controller setups. After playing around with it for a while I got it working...

You need to tweak the x360ce.ini as follows :

Set main option "FakeAPI" to 1
Get and set correct VID/PID for you gamepad in pad options

To get VID/PID of gamepad:

Open "Device Manager"
In "Human Interface Devices" find "HID-compliant game controller"
Double click to open properties, go to "Details" tab
From combo box select "Hardware Ids"
In listbox you will see a list of id like: "HID\VID_044F&PID_B323"
So you VID is a hex number after "VID_" ie. in upper example 0x044F and PID 0xB323
Write valuses to x360ce.ini

Then you may start the games, and it should work fine, Before when it was not working it said, press X to use options in menu. Now it will say, press A to use options in menu... I'm just posting this for you all before I dive into this great game.

I'm not a great game sports fan, except for NHL Hockey and Fifa Soccer, and ofcourse NBA, and I haven't got either yet for my pc, but somehow tennis on a computer have also fashinated me, but I have low hopes of this beeing a good game, so it might surprise me, maybe this is the game that makes me buy a second controller for my pc, to challenge my friends. But I was right, it's just as exciting as tennis ever will be, I give it a 2 out of 10.

It works out of the box with the rumble pad 2, it's a bit anoying that it's not possible to install the emulation files.
