Assassins Creed III

Assassins Creed III does a great job supporting the Logitech Rumblepad 2 or Dual Action Gamepad, and there is no real need to install any 3rd party drivers...

Now, after already completing this on the PS3, I'm giving it a go on a more geared up machine... Hope it will take me beyond in experience... This is one of the most amazing games in the series, and it's well worth a go.

Great work Ubisoft!

  7. I have a problem: the D-Pad and the Left Stick are switched (movements should be assigned to the stick but are to the D-Pad instead). I tried configuring in-game but all keys were listed as "!unknown".
    Solution please?

  9. I'm copying and pasting this because it worked for me. For any of you whose keys are still messed up:

    Go to:
    C:\Users\"User Name"\Documents\Assassin's Creed III folder and there's a Assassin3.ini file (open with notepad)

    There's 2 sections for your controller ; "DefaultBindings" and "NavalBindings" In the "DefaultBindings section, you should be able to swap the mapping with more precision. Here's what my bindings look like for my Logitech controller:

    [Logitech Dual Action USB]
    VendorID=1133
    ProductID=49686
    [Logitech Dual Action USB DefaultBindings]
    Button1=1
    Button2=0
    Button3=3
    Button4=2
    PadUp=64
    PadRight=65
    PadDown=66
    PadLeft=67
    Select=8
    Start=9
    ShoulderLeft1=6
    ShoulderLeft2=4
    ShoulderRight1=7
    ShoulderRight2=5
    StickLeft=10
    StickRight=11
    LeftStickUp=130
    LeftStickDown=130
    LeftStickLeft=129
    LeftStickRight=129
    RightStickUp=134
    RightStickDown=134
    RightStickLeft=131
    RightStickRight=131

    this is my set-up, copy over the one that you're using and hopefully you should be fine.
    I didn't have to make my file a ready-only.

    Hope that helps!

  11. I also thought that AC 3 will support my Rumblepad 2 because it showed "Rumblepad 2" under controls but when I tried to re-assign the controls it kept saying !unknown. So using Logitech profiler I made a profile for Assassins Creed 3 which works properly. Download it from here:
