Shift 2: Unleashed, does not support the logitech rumblepad 2 or dual action game pads, what you need to get them working is...
Download :
http://rapidshare.com/files/343322681/xbox360cemu.v.3.0.rar
or
http://xinput.googlecode.com/files/xbox360cemu.v.3.0.rar
Extract the files :
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
and copy them into folder :
\Program Files\Electronic Arts\SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED\
This wont give you the usual xbox 360 keys onscreen, but it will give you a chance to use the controller to play the game. This is probalby another highly awaited game, I'm not to excited about these track racing games, but if you're into this then you should have a look before you buy it.

Thanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteNow its possible to navigate through the menu!
But i've got another prob:
The ForceFeedback turns off after the first race.
Every second race there are no effects until I start Shift 2 again...
Can someone help me?
The Force Feedback is not working for me! Everything else is fine, but there is no rumble effect at all. When I set the UseForceFeedback variable to 1 in the INI file, the game crashes (not just the game, but the attached test tool too). Anybody has experience with Shift2 + Rumblepad2 force feedback?
ReplyDeletethx
määhhh
ReplyDeleteis there a way to reconfigure controls? Default controls doesn't really work for me (i mean they work, but that's not what i'm used to). In menus everything works ok, but ingame i'd like to have 2 for acceleration, 1 for brake/reverse, 3 for handbrake, 4 change cam. Don't know now exactly, but i think 6 and 8 (whatever the buttons are on the right back of the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad) should be 6 for look back and 8 nitro. Thank you if anyone knows how to reconfigure, because it won't let me change those in game. Please e-mail me: mmxxx@hot.ee
ReplyDeleteI cant get rublepad 2 analog steering and trottle/brake to work, any help there?
ReplyDeletehey friend help me with the game GHOSBUSTERS SANCTUM OF SLIME .. PLEASE...
ReplyDeleteworks perfectly for me, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteworks thanks but is it possible to customise buttons??? thanks again
ReplyDeleteTo all who wants to customise buttons, first go to game and customise the bottons the way you like, then exit game and apply the 3 files:
ReplyDeletexbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
go back to game and ypu have your customise buttons and the possibility to navigate through the menu.
Yes, that is working, but do you have full force feedback in more than one race???
ReplyDeleteIt all work without this files (3 hours of combinations)... but i also don't have this fucking feedback more than one race ! I hate this rumblepad, problems with every game, fucking shit, in this times only xbox pad is a good choice,
ReplyDeletebtw sorry for mistakes, im still learning english
Well a bit off topic, but I use my rumblepad 2 with the PS3 it works great in most games! and feels much better than the original PS3 pad. so it's a winner over the xbox pad. btw, you can always get one and mod it into the rumblepad 2. :)
ReplyDeleteBut for me it was more about availability, design and price that made me go for the logitech pads. Simply I don't like the xbox pad shape. I was a diehard ps2 game pad fan. so this pad is simply the best there is. for me...
No vibration after one race too. Did someone have a fix for this?

ReplyDeleteOnce again, you have helped me out. I love this site! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks again! It worked perfectly, as always.
The gamepad stops vibrating after finishing a track. I've tried checking settings, disable third party application and nothing has worked yet.
ReplyDeleteSolutions?
the solution is very simple....LOGITECH,FIRST GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK IN ORDER TO BUY A 100% COMPATIBLE GAMEPAD,AND THEN PLEASE.....GO FUCK YOURSELF.....50 EYROS FOR THIS CRAP....FUCK OFF LOGITECH
ReplyDeleteagreed!!! this thing was a waste of money. ive only played 1 racing game that actually supported vibration on rumblepad 2
DeleteHey, I love the pad. I don't mind the hassle to get some games working. I don't expect stuff like vibration working in every game. Anyway, I find vibration heavily overrated, and it's something that I don't really miss. I even turned it off on my PS3. :) But you should probably know when Logitech made the pad, there might have been some legal issues with totally "duplicating" the Xbox 360 pad. And it is much more compatible with older games...
ReplyDeleteoh yeah?im trying almost an hour to change thE brake and the throttle button in this game...do you call it compatibility?moreover, you say that you dont have vibration with all the games, only with some of them...WELL NAME ME JUST ONE GAME THAT THIS CRAP WORKS WITH VIBRATION!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of this need for speed part of the series, but I do know that my rumblepad 2 works perfectly including vibration in "burnout: paradise city". :)
ReplyDeleteHei!
ReplyDeleteIf i add these files to my game dir and start game then it just crashes after first loading screen.
Whats wrong? And will joysticks will be sensitive like gas pedal and wheel should be or will it still turn wheels to full lock if i move joystick little to left/right?
I'm really into getting this game, mainly being sold on how amazing the helmet cam looks but i have one question: i heard the soundtrack has really awful bands like 30 seconds to mars and rise against on it - does anyone know if one has the option to disable this music and play your own instead? This is really he only sticking point for me.
