Dragon Age II

Dragon Age II looks a great deal nicer with more action than the first one. Unfortunate for us Bioware PC has not yet learned that we PC gamers nowdays would like to have the option to play with our gamepad, just the sameway or PS3 and XBOX 360 friends do. So we may boast about how much more detailed and more amazing our PC's gameplay are compared to their setups. Anyway it's just to get mapping with the xpadder to get the full pad experience for this game .

you can download the software here...

Get the two files. Install and enjoy. Now off and enjoy this great adventure...

  2. not working... Further explanation of what these files do in regard to Dragon AGe 2 would be appreciated. I did exactly what youve said, downloaded both and installed both. The second xpadder isnt even compatible with windows 7, I dont know why you confuse people like that. Also am I supposed to map the controller myself, I have a rumblepad 2 and its not even showing up on xcpadder. I use my controller all the time with no problems on Black Ops and alot of other games.

Seems a bit rushed with not alot of information with this one, usually this place is dead on with the controller files needed, but clearly NOT THIS TIME.

  3. Ok, so I got the controller enabled, loaded the "untitled proflile" file included, and nothing but the mouse pointer moves on screen. WOw, thanks for nothing. Its obvious this blogger did nothing and wants you to map it yourself. The "blogger" couldve just linked you to the previous blogged post about xpadder, but no the "blogger" wants to try and act like he solved the Dragon age 2 gamepad support problem. The fact is the "blogger" has no intention nor the know how to figure it out, why not just come out and blog the truth.

Thanks for wasting my time. Wont be coming back

  8. If you are not already familiar with the xpadder application you can look at previous posts like :

    http://rumblepad2.blogspot.com/2009/07/xpadder.html

    http://rumblepad2.blogspot.com/2009/08/xpadder-windows-7.html

You would have to make your own dragon age 2 profile and map the keys you want, if someone already made one that works good, let us know. you can always post a link to it here.

  9. Hey "Anyway it's just to get mapping with the xpadder to get the full pad experience for this game" does not sound as he's solved it, more like he's just pointing you into one way of doing it, to get mapping... It's a great deal of work to get it done right... Anyway, It's still sad to see that it plays really well on a PS3 with the pad, and Bioware did not even consider adding the support for the xbox 360 controller on the PC version... PC does not just equal keyboard and mouse anymore... I rather play it with a pad anytime. I just hope the developers picks up on this... Maybe they can release a patch...

  11. Actually the UI is quite different for the PS3/XBOX vs the PC, that kind of makes it more difficult to do a good mapping for the PC version, that in anyway gives you the same gameplay feeling as on the consoles. Now I must say having played the PS3 version, before I saw the PC version, I love the PS3 interface. And why it was not an option in the PC version for people with good pads, I would think every PC gamer got one these days, is beyond my understanding... Let the games choose, don't force us to use keyboard / mouse unless we choose to... I will give it a shot to get a profile together...

  12. Check if this will help you on your way, run the program as Administrator if you unzip this in your "Program Files" directory, this is for windows 7.

Anyway, I must say that the UI is very different on the console versions. And actually in a game pad perspective, better. So if you have the choice, and want to use a pad, you should go for one of the console versions...

  15. Yeah especially since I enjoy the gameplay much more on my friends PS3, than I do playing my PC version, the pad interface is so amazing on the PS3, it simply works great!

    CAMERA CONTROLS
    A
    D
    HOME
    END
    PLAYER CONTROLS
    W
    S
    Q
    E
    CTRL ALT NUMPAD/
    R
    MENUS
    CTRL SPACE
    CTRL ALT ;
    TAB
    ALT SPACE
    0
    ;
    MISCELLANEOUS
    SPACE
    NUMPAD/
    CTRL ALT 0
    F6
    F9
    PRINTSCREEN
    V
(i replaced F4 with F5 so you dont accidentally press alt f4 and close the game)

I use MotioninJoy so I can use a ps3 controller but it is essentially the same. i would recommend having a mouse though just in case something needs to be clicked. probably wasnt helpful but at least i tried.

  20. hi! can we configure two keypads using different configuration on each keypads? thanks! I've noticed that, two diff. keypads will have the same config in controls. Is there anyway we can re-configure each pads? thanks!!
