To get Syndicate working with your Logitech Rumblepad2 or Dual Action Gamepad, you just have to download and install the following...
http://www.mediafire.com/?it9ahsh78h3nipe
x360ce.ini
xinput1_3.dll
Extract the content in the folder :
\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Syndicate\System\Win32_x86_Release
If you have problems locating the folder, you can try to search for : Syndicate.exe
And place the files in the same folder.
Now off to try the game out.

Completely not working for me.
ReplyDeleteSame as without these files, axis are misplaced (Left X = Right Y) and all buttons also not on their places.
Logitech profiler not affect on such behavior.
Doesnt work, axis are mixed up for me also :-(
DeleteAlso for me. X changed between A. Axis are mixed. Wrong config.
ReplyDeleteDoesnt work :-(
ReplyDeleteI agree with posts above. If not tested why giving links? axis are mixed button 1 acts as A, button 10 is not "start" button. Waiting for solution. Anyone?
ReplyDeleteI tested this with my Dual Action, and it works just fine, did anyone have a problem with that pad or only the rumblepad ?
ReplyDeleteNope. Doesn't seem to work with either Dual Action or Cordless Rumblepad 2. I have both of them. When "x360ce.ini" and "xinput1_3.dll" are put into folder with game exe and I have my Dual Action connected game seems to run even slower than without it...
DeleteAlso make sure you name your pad in the registry as : "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows".

See if it helps.
does not help.
DeleteThis file is tested with the two pads, please see if it works.

Forgot to mention that you should run the XInputTest.exe to test you devices, I think Dual Action is Controller 1, and Rumblepad2 is Controller 2. Should be the same even if you only one of the pads.
ReplyDeleteAlso what should be mentioned is that you might have to update the line :
ReplyDeleteProductGuid=c216046d-0000-0000-0000-504944564944
Control Panel , Device Manager, Human Interface Devices :
Logitech Dual Action (HID)
Details, Hardware Ids
Here you find the famous :
HID\VID_046D&PID_C216
Take these numbers and put them in replacing {PID} with the PID_ Number and the {VID} with the VID_ number :
so for the following :
HID\VID_046D&PID_C216
ProductGuid={PID}{VID}-0000-0000-0000-504944564944
you get :
ProductGuid=c216046d-0000-0000-0000-504944564944
if you cannot get the above file to work, you should give this a try.

ReplyDeleteInteresting thing, I Have PID = C218 of my rumblepad 2.
ReplyDeleteWhen I correct ProductGuid line in x360ce.ini with my PID then game is not recognizing rumblepad at all.
Name of device in registry changed to "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows"
all mediafire links are dead
ReplyDeletewe need a fix buttons reversed.
ReplyDeletefigured it out. manually switch all reversed buttons. swap x and y 1-4. left trugger and left button 5-7, right trigger and right button 6-8 save to desktop then copy and paste over the old ini.
ReplyDeletenevermind that fix still wont work SMH we need a resolution!!

ReplyDeleteI have been all over the net trying to find a solution to the problem and could not find one so I took the time to make a profile for the game I hope you guys enjoy it. http://www.box.com/s/sx9jdc4yjj1940z2uh0j
ReplyDeletedo i use this with thelogitech profiler?
ReplyDelete"Now off to try the game out"
ReplyDeleteDoes it work for you?
Not tried it yet,`cause playin`other Game,but the answers here confuse me a`bit.
"I took the time to make a profile for the game"
How transport this xml File to ini or Profiler?
Seems to be difficult...
Yeah, it does work if I put the pad in the correct USB port. :)
ReplyDeletewhere is the xml file supposed to go?

ReplyDeleteThe problem is distributing the ini & dll files. You need the original exe to create the proper ini & dll for a particular game. Dump the exe in the binary folder, run it, select your controller from bottom drop-down, load, save. Works for every game I tried.
*spoiler*
Now about Syndicate, different & futuristic. I liked it until I kept fighting an enemy without bullets or weapons at a later stage. Some flaws here & there like you must walk thru a door, and somehow the door automagically closes up behind you. No backtracking in some places to stock up on ammo/weapons. The suicide doesn't work on all enemies. Worse yet, some enemies throw a left-bumper disabler at you. No left button. You can break it but you get shot at. The only way to beat this game with a gamepad is on easy.
thans it's really usefull great tools
Deletety that works
ReplyDeleteWhat about Mass Effect 3?
ReplyDeletei had this problem too with the controller. The best way to play syndicate 2012 is to have xpadder 5.7 version. you go to keyboards layout on the game and you replace the controls on the logitech controller.
ReplyDeleteIMPORTANT: DO NOT START THE GAME WITH THE PAD CONNECTED
otherwise it will take it as a controller and you will have controls issue.
let the game start, start xpadder, and plug the logitech when you have to start after the loading

this works, simply go to the options tab, inside x360ce.exe and enable xinput1_2.dll, xinput1_1.dll, xinput9_1_0.dll
i don't know which is the one necessary, but my game now works
Put this :
ReplyDelete[InputHook]
HookLL=0
HookCOM=1
HookSA=0
HookWT=0
HookDI=0
HookPIDVID=0
HookName=0
in x360ce.ini file instead of this:
[InputHook]
HookMode=1
Found it in the tutorial forum post linked by x360ce download page. http://ngemu.com/threads/x360ce-libraries-tutorial-by-
resolutespider5.155310/
Change only the .ini file that is in game directory.
