This game Rocks, and it tells me somehow that it's time for an upgrade, it's not running very smooth on my old gaming rig... But don't get me wrong, this game is truly awesome, and if you are a driving game fan, and like games like FUEL, DIRT and The NFS series. Then don't miss this game, I've never even seen the original GRID, and from what I hear even if you did not like the first game, you need to give this one a go. Now off to the land of racing...
The only thing so far that bugs me, is the "fans" and "web" look of the dashboard. I wish Games and Movies would stop these trends of trying to mimic the web...

DeleteThere is an issue with up/down being reversed on stick 1. (elder brother).
Using x360ce.vibmod.3.1.4.1 will fix this.

Place the x360ce.vibmod.3.1.4.1 contents (see above) inside the "Win32" folder. same location as the Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons.exe.

1) A gamepad (Tested & confirmed with Logitech Dual Action gamepad)
2) X360CE (x360ce.App-2.0.2.158.zip)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Copy the c360ce.exe to your DATA folder in the dark souls directory(it's where the DARKSOULS.exe file is).
2) Open it, and click OK (twice I think) so it can create the necessary ini and dll files. Then the program should search online for your gamepad and automatically map the correct buttons, if not you'll have to figure out how to map them (that's the easy part, the axis mapping may be a little more difficult).
3) Enjoy
There should be a total of 5 files in your directory:-
1."x360ce.exe"
2."x360ce.ini"
3."xinput1_1.dll"
4."xinput1_2.dll"
5."xinput1_3.dll"

Logitech Dual Action, Rumblepad and equivalenmt controllers working with Watch Dogs - the 64bit x360ce fix.
As we know Watch dogs is a 64bit only game, X360ce is a 32bit utility = problem but there is a fix believe it or not despite there only being a handful of 64bit only or 32bit & 64bit choices of games at present.
Note this fix will work for those games aswell ie WarFrame 64bit vrsn, Outlast, Titanfall, Need for Speed Rivals 64bit vrsn & the Dolphin (Gamecube and Wii emulator) 64bit vrsn.

3. download x360ce_lib64_r848_VS2010 and extract xinput1_3.dll @ C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\WATCH_DOGS\bin (or your equivalent drive/directory)

If someone has Problems with missing dll Files, it is usually a Failure of DirectX Components. Remember, that DirectX11 does not contain the other minor DirectX Files, such as directx9 or 10.

DeleteAs i mentioned above, there is already a xinput1_3.dll in this folder! I renamed it in for example xinput1_31.dll to avoid complications! I guess you copied the downloaded files, but didn`t overwrite the existing xinput1_3.dll? Just rename it and use my files...
Of course i tried the solutions in my comments as anonymous above, like Middlearth, but they didn`t work. So I´m glad, that Turk posted the new x360ce_64, because the next generation of games requires the 64bit Windows.
ReplyDeleteNever forget, that the emulator does not function, if any Logitech software is running! Just plug, let Windows recognize the gamepad and copy the emulator files. If the game is installed in the System Partition, start the emulator and game as Admin...

At first: I have 4 Visual++2012, because i installed them from different games. Sometimes games need especially versions, you find them in the installation folder or in the disc directory.
ReplyDeleteSecond: My Witcher 3 is correctly installed in C/programs(x86)/The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt...and there is definitly a Folder named "_CommonRedist" with the MSVC2012!
Don`t know which Version you have, but to have all access to registry you might install it to programs(x86)...

There can`t be an error, if you run x360ce_64 in the x64 folder! You run this only to create the .ini and xinput1_3.dll, then it is useless. Try to run the game from the witcher.exe in the installation folder as admin, instead of the shortcut from desktop.
Go to https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce and scroll down. There you see the system requirements and you can download the needed runtimes. Sorry for not mentioning it before...

Alone in the Dark Illumination functions with the same x64 Emulator Files uploaded on Zippy.Copy the Files to Alone in.../Dark/Binaries/Win64 and start game.Options/gameplay-Y Axis reverse-yes.Video-Full Screen Mode.That stupid game has only Controller Function in game and you have to have to set each Trigger by yourself in the options/Input.Just klick the key and then the controller Button you wish.

Oh oh aleksander, did you install ALL! these?:

4. DirectX End-User Runtime (June 2010) (Required regardless of OS)
5. Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 (For x64 systems install both x86 and x64 redistributables)
Then You have to delete original witcher3's xinput1_3.dll in game folder, before using x360ce.
Copy x360ce.exe(64bit Version! on github) in game folder, run it as admin and follow the Instructions. It will create .ini and xinput and search the internet for newest build. Done!
Resident Evil Zero Remastered works quite fine on Windows 7 64bit with the x360ce(32bit!).

Run x360ce.exe from the same directory as the game executable and follow instructions. If the buttons A,B and X,Y are reversed, take Ownership of the x360.ini and change the numbers:
A=2
B=3
X=1
Y=4
Now work!!!!

Plug your controller in, run x360ce in the same folder as the games exe (as always), follow instructional pop ups and save when prompted.
Use default (recommended) xinput1_3.dll.
Couldn't be easier.
If you have any issues of the character moving left all the time simply unplug and replug your controller and restart the x360ce.
