Grind 2

In Order To get Grid 2 working with your Logitech Rumblepad 2, the xbox 360 way, with A B X Y buttons showing up... Yeah the way we all like and love it... You have to do the following...

Download :

Extract the files :

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe

Then copy them into the following folder :

C:\Program Files (x86)\GRID 2\

Or if you have it installed elsewhere, try to find the following file :  grid2.exe, and place the files in that folder...

This game Rocks, and it tells me somehow that it's time for an upgrade, it's not running very smooth on my old gaming rig... But don't get me wrong, this game is truly awesome, and if you are a driving game fan, and like games like FUEL, DIRT and The NFS series. Then don't miss this game, I've never even seen the original GRID, and from what I hear even if you did not like the first game, you need to give this one a go. Now off to the land of racing...

The only thing so far that bugs me, is the "fans" and "web" look of the dashboard. I wish Games and Movies would stop these trends of trying to mimic the web...
  

DiRT Showdown

To get DiRT Showdown working with your Logitech Rumblepad 2 or Dual Action Gamepad you will have to...

if you have any trouble to locate the folder, you may try to find the file :

showdown.exe

I easily installed the rumblepad 2 emulation for this game, and got going at it.

It's a fairly great game, and anyone who enjoy the rally type of games, including FUEL, may very well enjoy this title as well. I found the car controlls a bit difficult to handle, but that is something you may get used to after a while.

And the game will work fine, it's quite a good game, as a dedicated racing fan I would so far rate this game as a 8 out of 10. It was a bit low frame-rate on my setup in high detail, I'll try and tweak it to a better setup. It's just to bad there is no in-game options to tweak the performance, so it's painful to restart the game each time, just to see how well it does.

Edit: After some playing, I must stay that this one of the better driving overall action games I've seen for a long time, I'm a big fan of it and if you're into driving you cannot pass this one, I would not really understand why anyone would give this game a low overall score. And yes, first time I tried I got a bit low frame-rate, but that was my computer beeing on to long, :) It works fine with default settings at full frame-rate.

Overlord II

Another game that only works with the xbox 360 wired controller, but thanks to this tool you can play it fully with a logitech rumble pad 2.

In Directory :

Program Files/Codemasters/Overlord II

First rename
xinput1_3.dll to xinput1_3.dll.old

Then the following into it

xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

And it will work perfectly, this is also quite a good game, After a while of playing you realize this is truly a great game, that you just want to keep playing. I've already spent many hours on it, and it just keeps getting better and better.

Damnation

Damnation, is a bit tricky to get working, you need to version 3.0 of the emulation software, find it by searching for "XBOX360 Controller Emulator v3.0". should get you to tocaedit.com, this is the main site for the software.

you need to copy all files, including the .dll to hide your current controller from the game.

Put these files into "Program Files/Codemasters/Damnation/Binaries"

dinput8.dll
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll

The Game itself is not very satisfying, it got fairly good graphincs, but I had to turn off my virus protection in order to run it, and it's still a bit jerky 3d. It does not have a nice flow to it, or a good gaming feeling. I would not recommend this title to anyone. I'll probably recycle this pretty soon, it's not worth getting into.
