This game Rocks, and it tells me somehow that it's time for an upgrade, it's not running very smooth on my old gaming rig... But don't get me wrong, this game is truly awesome, and if you are a driving game fan, and like games like FUEL, DIRT and The NFS series. Then don't miss this game, I've never even seen the original GRID, and from what I hear even if you did not like the first game, you need to give this one a go. Now off to the land of racing...
The only thing so far that bugs me, is the "fans" and "web" look of the dashboard. I wish Games and Movies would stop these trends of trying to mimic the web...

Cars 2: The Video Game
Cars 2: The Video Game, works perfectly fine with your Logitech Rumblepad 2 or Dual Action Gamepad. But if you want to spice it up a bit you can install the xbox 360 joypad emulation... It won't change the button layout, but it will give you a more familiar way to navigate...Download :

This game is mainly for the younger of us, or your kids... Take a look at it before you decide, the first looks will probably not amaze anyone, but it could be fun for the kids, especially if they got a bit of a story line in the play, and not just plain racing... Did not get that far yet.

Split/Second
Split/Second is a great racing game, and it will support your logitech rumblepad 2 or dual action game pad out of the box. Now, I'll dig deeper into the world of racing with Split/Second, to see if this game live up to the hype. And after an hour of play, I must say this game is pretty entertaining. My favorite racer is still the Burn out series, but this game is pretty awesome, with a game pad it got a real "console" gaming feeling in it.
I heard this game is not working with the xbox 360 controller. If anyone knows that is so please let us know. Yeah, again... This game does rock, but try it before you buy it...

Fuel
FUEL delivers exhilarating, spectacular races, at any time of day in a huge range of vehicles. Experience the dynamic weather system and witness how deadly tornadoes and sandstorms affect the way your race plays out. Negotiate diverse terrain from deep snow to arid riverbeds, battle the elements and pull off stunning stunts as you race and explore an epic world on an unprecedented scale. After install you need to copy the following in to the directory you installed the game :
http://rapidshare.com/files/249164419/xinputemu3.0.zip
Program Files/Codemasters/FUEL
xbox360cemu.ini
xinput1_3.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll
XInputTest.exe
And the game will work fine, it's quite a good game, as a dedicated racing fan I would so far rate this game as a 8 out of 10. It was a bit low frame-rate on my setup in high detail, I'll try and tweak it to a better setup. It's just to bad there is no in-game options to tweak the performance, so it's painful to restart the game each time, just to see how well it does.
Edit: After some playing, I must stay that this one of the better driving overall action games I've seen for a long time, I'm a big fan of it and if you're into driving you cannot pass this one, I would not really understand why anyone would give this game a low overall score. And yes, first time I tried I got a bit low frame-rate, but that was my computer beeing on to long, :) It works fine with default settings at full frame-rate.
