Duke Nukem Forever

Duke Nukem Forever, to get this working with your Logitech Rumblepad 2 or Dual Action Gamepad, you simply have to do the following...

Download :

http://rapidshare.com/files/422778312/x360ce.vibmod.3.1.4.1.rar

Extract and copy the files from the archive to the installed directory :

\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Duke Nukem Forever\System\

x360ce.ini
xinput1_3.dll
XInputTest.exe

You can now enjoy the game with full gamepad support, as it should be enjoyed... This is one of those classic games, that will attract the mature old-time gamers, and nothing you want your kids to be playing... Have a look at it first before you buy it, to see if it for you...

    Hoe does it works with an Original PS2 Controller and a USB to PS2 Adapter?

    The Program "Xinputtest.exe" works with my Pad, but in Game not, whats wrong?

    You can try to do this to increase your chances of getting it to work...


    1. Find out the name of your gamepad in the control panel (Game Controllers), for me it was "Logitech RumblePad 2 USB".
    2. Open Regedit, hit CTRL-F and type the name of your gamepad. It should find something like :

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_046D&PID_C218
    OEMName REG_SZ Logitech RumblePad 2 USB

    3. Select Modify and enter "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows" (without the ").

    The test .exe works in the system folder but my controller does shit all in game. What do?

    I'm having the same issue. The .exe tester thingo works but the game doesn't recognize the damn controller.

    Did you test to change the name in the registry as posted above.

    btw, do you have a wireless controller? mine is wired and they work fine.

    Hi, i have a gameware pc control pad, should this work in the same way? Reason I ask is I have copied the files for this in the system directory and configured it, works fine on the xinputtest.exe but is not recognised in the game at all. I changed the name in the registry and tried again but still nothing. I do find however, that when i leave the test.exe running in the background, on the main menu the icon scrolls down all the options without me pressing anything, almost as if I constantly have my finger on the down button.
    Cheeses me off if I have to now go out and buy another controller when I have a perfectly good one already!
    Any advice / help would be much appreciated

    Make sure you don't have any "profiler" program running that's for the pad.

    You can also find the ID's for your pad, and add them to the x360ce.ini file, this might help.

    These could be found in the properties of the controller or in the registry.

    In registry :

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_046D&PID_C218
    OEMName REG_SZ Logitech RumblePad 2 USB

    VID_046D
    PID_C218

    in ini file :

    VID=0x046D #controller VID
    PID=0xC218 #controller PID

    Try this and see if it helps.

    i cant find the game or 2kgames directory, everything seems to be in steam directory, i dl ed
    the files but dont know where to put them, i am using windows 7 if that matters thanks BP
