Assassin's Creed Brotherhood fully supports the logitech rumblepad2 or dual action gamepads, it is the third in the series, and after completing the sec0nd the expectations are high on the game to deliver. However, if you are used to the xbox 360 controller layout, and rather see the usual buttons then...

Not working for me...
ReplyDeleteWhat is your setup in case it is not working, sometime you'll have to tweak the x360ce.ini file, if you have wireless controller there might be other issues, check that all work fine with the test program before trying to add it into the game. I tested it with win 7 64bit (even if the program and game run in x86) and it works fine. with wired dual action / rumblepad2 gamepads.
ReplyDeleteif i copy/paste the files it does nothing and it dosn't work. so how do i emulate the controller? win 7 64bit. the game is skidrow version
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that you still need to activate the controller in one of the option menus in the game. Did you manage to do that?
ReplyDeleteyes, but after i emulate it and after i switch to xbox controller in the game, it still doesn't work and i still have to use the keyboard. i have tried different versions of this dude's emulator and the xinput emulator. it works fine without any emulator but i still want and i'm best used to the x360 layout.
ReplyDeleteDoes the feedback work fine in yours Rumblepads with vibmod 3.1.4.1 ???
ReplyDeleteNever did bother much with the force feedback, I remember it did work with some game, if you got one of the later Logitech updates for the pad. You just need to make it work with the test program first, before you can be sure if it works with the game or not.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it works great for me, I don't know what problem you may have, I don't have any specific drivers installed from Logitech, if you do maybe they cause a problem? Does it work fine with the test program? Do you have a wireless pad?
ReplyDeleteI have wireless Rumblepad 2 and i have the latest software from Logitech installed. In Xinputtest all just fine and feedback works great. In other games the feedback works fine too, but in Brotherhood, for some reasons, don't. I don't know what to do...
ReplyDeletedoes anyone have vibrations?
ReplyDeleteI don't :(
ReplyDeletei too am having the same issue... i never have a problem with any of the skidrow games when i put the x360ce.ini and
ReplyDeletexinput1_3.dll files in there. It always registers and i can use the rumble pad.. but for some reason its not working on this game... any ideas?
just don't use any emulator and select in options - controls x360 gamepad and it will work just fine. and the vibrations will work too.
ReplyDeleteHow can you see x360 gamepad without using emulator? It's just impossible!
ReplyDeletesure if you already got a xbox 360 gamepad in the first place you don't need the emulator, but that is not what we are trying to do.
ReplyDeletechange the name of the gamepad from logitech rumblepad 2 to xbox360 controller (something like that)
i also have a problem
ReplyDeletewhen i start the game i don't see any xbox 360 gamepad in the options.. Any solution ?
sorry for my english
Dear friends
ReplyDeletethe rumblepad 2 does NOT need anything to work with this game just play it and delete any emulator files you have put.
this works for me and for last assassin creed as well. great game have fun!!!
well, the above already says that the game work perfectly with rumblepad 2, it also tells you how to get it working so you see a press 'X' instead of press '1'. Personally I rather play the game the 'xbox' way... And big thanks it works perfectly.
ReplyDeleteIs there a solution for windows 7 64bit?
ReplyDeleteit doesn't work on my pc
Yes, I use this solution on windows 7 SP1 64bit, and it works fine.
ReplyDeleteYou should know that games for 64bit almost all install in :
ReplyDelete\Program Files (x86)\
and so on...
win7 sp1 64bit
ReplyDeletemy wireless works perfect without this emu. in option you can switch to rumblepad
I have a problem. I don't see the option to choose xBox controller in the contorls menu, and in addition to that, if i do put the files in the folders, the gamepad doesn't work at all.
ReplyDeleteI didn't installed the game in c:\program files\ubisoft... could a different directory cause this?
it doesnt work for assassins creed brother hood, but you can use usb controller, though ur x axis on right stick wont work
ReplyDeleteThe problem with mine is that with or without the emulator inserted I still don't get the X360 pad layout,I have tried all variations of the xinput emu but still no good results
ReplyDeleteDid you try to change the name of your pad in the registry as described in some other posts here.
ReplyDeleteYeah, try this trick to see if it helps :
ReplyDeletehttp://rumblepad2.blogspot.com/2009/09/mini-ninjas.html
I've done it and so far I don't have any of the problems you describe.
The tip described above works!
ReplyDeleteGo here: http://rumblepad2.blogspot.com/2009/09/mini-ninjas.html
Basically what you have to do is replace your generic joystick name in the regedit to XBOX 360 Controller for Windows.
And download this version of xinput:
http://code.google.com/p/xinput/downloads/detail?name=x360ce.vibmod.3.1.4.1.rar&can=2&q=
Guys make sure that in the customize controls the controller is set to whatever the name is of it
